I know I am not first to say this, but your presentation was amazing and definitely unforgettable! All of your hard dedication and work put forth to the project really shined as the ease and flow of the project went smoothly and perfectly. The music fit wonderfully and the same for the movies. I loved the sue of the Benjamin Button because this film really did show that our lives are defined by age and phases and the only way to be able to live a healthy life is to understand this quote, "I was just thinking how nothing lasts." Chelsea, your personal brought me to tears as you were able to stand up there so confidently and talk about your grandfather and we all know that is the hardest thing to do. We do not feel like we owe it to anyone to have to talk about the people we loved so dearly that have past. Greif defiantly has its stages and to be able to reach stage 5, keep living, and to never put your head down is impeccable. The clip from the O.C. definitely portrayed a realistic grieving process as we almost become a different person during this time. Taylor, your personal was truly amazing and the ways you were able to relate phases to camp phases was perfect and outstanding. Yuval, I don’t think anyone can say how deep your poem was, English and Spanish. I know everyone was brought to tears as you were able to explain grief of the ones we have lost so well and truthfully. The fashion show was a great way to conclude the presentation; it was fun and really left the crowd in a happy mood to start of their day. I also loved the clips of the stages of an experimental! Congratulations guys! You have taken experimental to the next level and definitely have left some big shoes to fill for the upcoming year.

I loved your presentation! I agree with Laura that it was definetly amazing. When I heard that phases was your topic, I immeadiatly thought of phases of the moon, but you guys took it so much farther than just physical phases. The phases of grief were very interesting, and the clip that went along with it from The OC made that serious topic more fun and light hearted. All of your personals were emotional and intense. Taylor, it was interesting to see how your time spent at camp transfered you through different phases in your life. This reminded me of Grahams personal in a way. Camp, and it's phases, shaped your identity, just like hockey changed Grahams. It's so interesting to see the connections between all of the experimentals. You used your surveys to enhance your presentation and other information very nicely. The fashion show was creative and kept the audience engaged. I was truly amazed at how much you guys were able to squeeze in to the 40 minute period. Great job guys! P.S. Sorry about my last post, I submitted it before I even wrote anything! Oops...

I cannot even begin to say how well done and amazing your experimental was. After a rocky start picking a topic, this definetly did not show throughout the presentation. My favorite part was actually the "phases of the experimental" which right away got the audiences attention and made them connect to the phases topic. What seemed so difficult about your topic is that phases are really everywhere. I loved your connection between phases and religion as well as phases of twitter.
Your personals were all amazing and so thoughout. Taylor, like you I also have a love for camp that can never change. I loved how you connected this to phases and brought in the way you felt during different ages at camp. Why is it that we always yearn for the end until it is upon us? Yuval, you spoke beautifully as you delivered your well thoughout poem in two languages, definetly not easy. This flowed so nicely and this was an amazing amazing poem. Chelsea, to stand up there and talk about the grief stages you experianced after your grandfather died was so unbeliavably brave and was so powerful it brought tears to my eyes. You showed such confidence and I am truly impressed. Your grandfather clearly made a huge impact on your life.
Lastly, your decorations were amazing. I loved the splatter painted phases and the "red carpet" runway in the center. The kids drawings were also so cute and definetly were intertwined into your topic in a way I wouldn't have thought of. SO BASICALLY YOU GUYS DID AMAZING!!

Great job guys! I loved every minute of your presentation! I was never bored and was constantly awaiting what came next. You handled your topic in a unique and creative way. The music selection you had was different and kept the audience attentive and interested. It also added a great vibe to your professional and pleasing presentation. Your room was also fantastic! The hilarious posters in the back in addition to the north side art work was fun to look at it. I also liked the paint splattered signs which added a lot to your presentation. All three of your personals blew me away. Taylor, I had never thought of camp in different stages and it was so interesting to here how you changed from phase to phase. I could tell you applied your topic to something you were very passionate about. Yuval, your poem was inspiration and moving. Your poem was beautiful in english, and was even better in Spanish! Chelsea, you spoke with a lot of courage and wisdom about loss. You are such a strong person and taught everyone about the ways to deal with grief. Your presentation had great information! I loved the OC clip about stages of grief in addition to the moon phases and your artwork. Great job you guys should be so proud!!

Chelsea, Taylor, and Yuval:
I know I'm not the first one to say this, but your experimental was unbelievable! When thinking of phases on my own, I would never have thought of almost any of the stuff you included in your presentation. The way you were able to incorporate and relate your topic to all different disciplines in such a unique and clever way really blew me away!
Your music choices throughout the entirety of the presentation were smart and kept the audience awake at such an early time and wanting to keep listening.
All of the footage you incorporated was brilliant, and my favorite one was definitely the OC clip displaying the 5 different stages of grief.
I also, of course, loved the way you incorporated phases into math and horoscopes, especially that you thought of including each of your own phase waxings into the presentation to make it more personal!
One of my favorite parts of the whole presentation was each of your personals--each of them was different and unique, and you each somehow found a way to tie such a broad topic, phases, into such specific aspects of your lives.
Taylor--I never would have thought of camp relating to phases, but I can truly say that the way you spoke about your summer experiences in relation with your topic was flawless and really moved the audience. You found a clever way to incorporate two things that most people probably wouldn't think have any correlation, and you really did an amazing job of doing so! Your timing for speaking along with the cute pictures playing in the background enhanced your presentation and made it look very professional! I also noticed the different way each of your pictures moved--some zooming in and out, and some panning across!

Chelsea--your personal was really touching and I think left everyone in the audience moved. The fact that you were able to stand in front of so many people and speak about your difficult experiences and phases of grieving so confidently is really admirable and something we can all take away and learn from. I am sure that it isn't easy to stand up and talk about such hard experiences that one goes through the way you did, and you were able to relate phases to such a personal and meaningful part of your life. As you know, I especially loved the artwork you incorporated into your personal. The artwork made it unique and even more personal! It was very meaningful that you painted a picture of quarters--something that was clearly such a big part of your times with your grandfather--this was a clever, unique, and creative way to do something that you are so talented in and incorporate it with such an important part of your life, along with your topic of Phases. I also LOVED the floral painting that you made to represent your grandfather's gardening--it really should be hung up in a museum!!!
Yuval--Your personal allowed me to see a side of you that I've never really seen before! Your poem, in both English and Spanish, was a very creative way to incorporate two experiences that were such a big part of your life into one. I never knew you were such an amazing writer/poet, but that poem really stood out to me as something that I will remember forever.

I noticed all of the decorations you had hanging up, along with the foot prints near the doors--these were very clever and definitely enhanced your project and made it all the more memorable!

I loved the idea of having Gobstoppers--I would have never thought of this candy relating to Phases, but now that I saw it today, it makes total sense and was very clever!

While I did not see the entire fashion show, I know from the reactions of other people, along with the part that I was able to see, that this was a brilliant idea and the best way to end your presentation!! Not only is incorporating the phases of fashion into your experimental something that most of us would never think of off the top of our heads, but the fact that you transformed this into a live show was creative, memorable, and the perfect way to end your experimental in an upbeat way!!

All of the hard work and effort you each put into this presentation definitely paid off--your experimental was perfect in every way and made me, along with the rest of the audience, think of your topic in so many different ways that we never would have thought of before!! Congrats!!

Everyone can definitely see the extraordinary amount of effort you guys put into your experimental. For the humanities part, I thought that the Benjamen Button was a great connection to your topic. Although I have never heard of the movie before, I now want to see it.
The fashion show was also a great idea and explains why there was a red carpet in the middle of the room (duh). It is great to have friends willing to walk into the room dressed in clothes we normally wouldn't wear.
In all, we learned a lot from your experimental. We discovered all the possibilities that you can do with our experimental. A wonderful job indeed.

Good job! All three of you were awesome during your experimental. I could tell that each one of you worked hard and contributed your own portion of information in order to complete your experimental. You guys had nice decorations and I like how you accurately tied in food to your topic. When you guys related your topic to Benjamin Button, I immediately picked up and noticed what you guys were talking about. The fashion show was interesting and I learned the different phases of fashion the industry has gone through. All three of your personals were touching. Chelsea and Yuval I'm sorry for your loss. It's amazingly difficult dealing with a loved one's lost. I know that even though it may have been years ago it still feels like yesterday. Taylor, your personal was also amazing. I liked how you went through different phases in camp. You made it clear to the audience that with each year you spent at camp, you entered another phase of your life.

I don't even know how to begin, ahhhh it was amazing guys! I loved every single moment of your entire experimental! First, the room was decorated so well and the boring looking room 450 was transformed in an exciting, colorful room! I loved the footprints too, such a cute idea! The food you guys chose was also very creative, I didn't think of big doughnuts transforming into munchkins, so clever! Like most people have already mentioned, all three of your personals were done extremely well. Chelsea and Yuval, I know it must have been so difficult talking about your loved ones whom you both lost in front of so many people, but I envy how you both stayed strong and did a fabulous job presenting. Everyone in the audience was able to see how much your family members meant to you and how overcoming their death were challenges that you both were able to overcome. Although death is something that seems almost impossible to deal with, I liked how you both ended on an up-beat and optimistic note. I found the paintings and the poem to be very moving and powerful. Taylor, I loved your personal as well. All the pictures in your iMovie were adorable and I liked how the audience was able to see you as a young camper and how you grew ad matured through the years. The passage that you wrote that went along with your personal was very well written and it was clear how much camp as impacted you. It became apparent that along with all the fun you experienced at camp, you also learned how to deal with changes and how with older age, you got more privileges.
I'm so happy and honored that I got to be apart of the fashion show in the end! It was such a creative idea that I think added a lot to the presentation! I also loved the clip you guys put in from the O.C because I think it was a clear depiction of the phases of grief, but it kind of put a slightly comical spin to it. All of your music, literature, movie, and art connections were done very well and I was able to tell they were very well-planned and thought- out. I also enjoyed the slide with the plastic surgery because that is another great phase change that I hadn't thought of. The surveys you guys spoke about seemed very in depth and it sounded like you guys collected a lot of data! Overall, it was a fantastic presentation and all three of you should be so proud of yourselves! You guys did an amazinggg job! Congrats:)

CONGRATULATIONS TO ALL THREE OF YOU!! Each one of you did an amazing job and it showed both individually and collectively! I really thought that each one of your connections was exciting between the fashion show to the phases of the moon! I also really enjoyed each one of your personals gave me a better understanding in how to deal with the phases of my life. I can relate to both Chelsea and Yuval that in the sense of losing someone, there are many stages you endure in the process of recovery. You both taught me the ways in which I can express my pain, no matter what the situation, and that the stages of grief are universal. No one has an easy time with loss for I am very sorry for the both of you but am proud of the ways you've handled it! Taylor, I like you attend a camp that I consider my second home and watching you deal with the pain of having to leave will make my last summer easier to cope with! YOU GUYS WERE INCREDIBLE AND SHOULD BE SO PROUD! CONGRATS!

The three of you pulled off an absolutely flawless experimental that surely will never be forgotten. One thing I really liked about your presentation was how in addition to the main disciples that we all had to research, it was very clear that the three of you researched topics you found interesting such as phases of fashion. The fashion show that went along with this section was very creative and captivated the audience’s attention. The argument between whether the mind set of a person or their age defines how old they are was very intriguing as well. It is very true that we often stumble across children that are more mature and “grown up” than adults which leads me to agree with the fact that mindset does play a very large roll in a person’s maturity. These aspects of a presentation that aren’t necessarily able to be put in a clear cut category of science, math, history etc, are often the ones that are most interesting given that they are the most creative. The three of you had many of these creative additions to your presentation.
Another part of your presentation that I really liked was your connections to different TV shows, movies, and songs. The clip from the OC that discussed the different phases of grieving not only applied perfectly to your topic, but also had a bit of funniness to it with the acting. This kept it up beat despite the fact that it was discussing a depressing process. The song 100 Years was another example of your media that fit your topic perfectly. The song discusses the stages (or phases) of our lives that we go through and what our responsibilities are, what our lives are like. This really got me thinking about what is important in life over what’s not.
Your personals were so different yet tied into your presentation so well. Yuval, your poem was beautiful and I know personally how hard you had been working to perfect it. I can assure you this hard work showed. I loved how you were able to dedicate it two people and in doing so you translated it into another language (Martinez was so proud). Both the English and Spanish presentations were presented with confidence and you appreciation for both people was evident. Tay, your personal was one that I can relate to having been through my last year as a camper as well. I also looked up to the oldest age group thinking they were at least in their 20s up until I was about 13 or so years old. From the time you are young camp seems like forever and then that last summer goes by in the blink of an eye. Your love for camp and the relationships you have made are quite clear and touched many. Chelsea, your personal was one that I found so moving and heartfelt that it brought me to tears. I have also been in the position that you were in with your grandfather and give you so much credit for being able to talk about what a wonderful man he is. In your video montage particularly, I really liked how you emphasized the words and phrases that you felt were most important by putting up the lyrics. I know your grandfather would be so proud of you, not only for the amazing presentation you put together, but for the person you have become. The food and decorations were nothing short of incredible and they tied in so perfectly. CONGRATS AGAIN!! YOU THREE WERE AMAZING!!

Hey guys,

Walking into your experimental I was impressed with the decorations that you had hanging around the usually blank and boring multipurpose room. All three of you spoke well and with authority throughout the whole presentation. I was not bored for one second, intently listening on everything that you guys spoke on, using well incorporated music and effects.

Taylor: In what seemingly has nothing to do with phases, you managed to turn your camp experience into a whole story of phases! Camp can really be a time, especially when going for a long time, when one can look back and see how they have changed every year when going back. Not only that, but the timing when talking along with the slideshow was awesome, and something that I would probably never be able to do!

Chelsea: I could tell that you were almost holding back tears when talking about your grandfather. Growing up not knowing life without him, to lost such an influence is definitely a life changing experience for the worse.

Yuval: I was extremely impressed with the Spanish poem and your spanish accent. Also, the piece on Mr. Van Dyke was touching and connected well with your topic.

Congratulations on an excellent and professional job!

Yuval, Chelsea and Taylor-

Your experimental was really good. I had no idea how many ways you can connect this topic to disciplines. The "Phases of Twitter" image was cute and really goes to show how addicting social media has become. Your room decorations transformed 450 from what is normally bland and boring into a different space. All of your personals were amazing. Yuval and Chelsea, I know how hard it is to hold back tears when talking about a loved one who had passed away. Yuval, I liked how you also honored Mr. Van Dyke in your experimental by saying your poem in Spanish in a great accent. Your fashion show, although short, was a unique part of your experimental. Lastly, the "Phases of the Experimental" provided our audience a funny and interesting introduction. Overall, a very nice job

Taylor, Yuval, and Chelsea,
You guys did a fantastic job! I loved teh way you opened with the phases of the experimental. It was a great way to get the audience excited about your upcoming (fantastic) experimental. I was amazed at all of the research that you guys did and it really showed throughout the presentation. I found that all of your subtopics really tied-in nicely with your main topic. I especially liked your art, and how you talked about different topics according to that art piece. You also used some very cool technology in order to help you create an interesting presentation. I also really liked the way the room was decorated and the snacks you left for us! Your personals were all so great and connected so well. Yuval: what a way to honor your relationship with Mr. Van Dyke and your phases of grief at his passing. I thought the poem was beautifully written, as was your pronunciation of the poem in Spanish. Taylor: it was really interesting to see your camp life and the phases you went through to get to a senior at camp. Chelsea: I thought it was incredibly brave of you to talk about your grandfather and his death. I know how hard it must have been, and I know how hard it is to cope with the loss of a loved one as important as a grandparent. Overall, great job and congrats on finally being done!

Congratulations on making it through the experimental phase in our sophomore year! There are just so many things you can imagine when you think of phases. There must have been so much information that you guys had to cut out for the actual presentation.
Yuval: It's great to know that you are in back in the normal phase of your life after just coming out of the phase of losing a lost one.
Taylor: It must have been awkward looking back at what you used to be and comparing that to what you are now. You must have had many changes throughout the years leading up to your senior year at camp. The most beautiful thing about it is how your personality evolved as you became older.
Chealsea: It must be hard talking about your grandpa. Although I haven't experienced the death of someone that close to me, everyone could tell that it wasn't easy. I even have to say that it was the hardest personal out of all to present. Awesome job on staying strong!

The phases of my reaction process to your experimental:
Phase 1- shock
Phase 2- excitement
Phase 3- anger/tears (HOW WILL MY PRESENTATION LIVE UP TO THAT?!)
Phase 4- acceptance that it was amazing
Phase 5- this post

Great job guys! I loved your presentation so much! All of your connections, media, personals, pictures, just everything was so unique and interesting! I loved the part about the phases of grieving. The fashion show was also sooo unique! It was a great way to show the phases and change of fashion over time. It was probably my favorite part.
As far as personals go, I don't think there were any personals that were more inspirational and heart warming than yours.
Taylor - Your personal was a PERFECT connection to yourself, to your topic, and to most of the people in the audience. Everyone knows that all good things must come to an end, but we are always left with great memories! The "phases" of your life as a camper were really interesting. It showed how when you're young, you always want to be older. Now that you have "graduated" from camp, I bet you'd give anything to go back to when you were young enough to be a camper, huh? Your montage was well put together and very cute! Good job :)

Yuval- Your personal was so beautiful. Honestly, brought tears to my eyes. I loved it. Your poem for Mr. Van Dyke was breathtaking and im starting to tear up just thinking about it. Everything you said about him was true and he would be so proud to hear you read the translated version. The way you talked about both of your losses was brave, but a great choice seeing as you did a beautiful job. I loved it.
Chelsea- Your personal was also a very brave move, talking about such a tragic topic. I was literally bawling in the audience, ask anyone who was around me haha. I recently lost my Grandpa and I could relate to everything you said, and I'm sure many other people in the audience could too. You did a great job speaking about such a hard topic to talk about, like you said, and it was a really unique connection.
Your presentation was great and I loved it! CONGRATS GUYS!

You guys did an amazing job! Like Maria, when I first heard your topic was Phases I was only about to think about scientific phases, like the moon cycle and the three phases of matter. You were able to connect Phases not only to science but to all other fields as well. You had a very impressive amount of actual factual and great humanities connections including the OC clip about the five stages of grief. I loved how you had views from all different people ranging from North Side students to experts in certain fields. The fashion show was a brilliant idea to get away from your slideshow. This was a very interesting and entertaining way to show the phases of fashion throughout the last few decades. Giving out Gobstoppers was also a great idea. As I ate them I saw the phases of color change. This was a great way to include food into your presentation. All three of your personals were great too! Yuval, writing a poem clearly showed us how much your losses meant to you. The poem was excellent and you did an amazing job reading it in Spanish. Chelsea, you were able to speak with a lot of courage while talking about your loss. You did an amazing job speaking and it was really touching to everyone in the audience. Taylor, relating phases to camp was probably the last thing I expected your personal to be about. After hearing you speak, the phases of life in camp became really clear and it was a great idea. It was very interesting hearing your journey between the different age groups in your camp. Overall your experimental was amazing and I definitely learned a lot in just 40 minutes. Congratulations on a great experimental!

Great work guys!
You must be so relieved that you are finally done. Who knew that a simple word like phases could be related to so many aspects of our lives. Yuval - I know that you were very close with Mr. Van Dyke and your poem was very touching. It was beautiful both in English and Spanish. Chelsea - speaking about loss is always a difficult task but you spoke confidently and clearly. Taylor - relating phases to the different age groups in your camp worked excellently. It is evident that camp has been a very important part of your life.

Hey guys, congratulations on completing a very memorable experimental! I loved how your presentation began with the video of the "phases of an experimental." It was a very humorous and accurate depiction of the phases that we 10p students had gone through to make our experimentals. You three also showed a tremendous ability to connect your theme to a wide variety of subjects. After watching your presentation and looking through your website, I was really impressed by your research in areas that not everyone would think about, such as the phases of becoming addicted to Twitter and phases of a changing economy. I also really enjoyed the clip from the OC, which portrayed the stages of grief in a humorous manner.

All three of your personals were very sentimental. Taylor, you did a great job of speaking about the phases of your camp experience, and the montage of photos in the slideshow showed us many pieces of your time at camp. Seeing that you had so much fun, it must have been difficult to move past your time in camp and move on to a new phase of your life. Yuval, I was really impressed by the wonderful poem that you wrote for Bill van Dyke. Not only did you portray the phases of recuperation after a traumatic loss, you spoke with a fluent Spanish accent that made us all think you were Spanish! Chelsea, you also provided a touching example of recuperating from a difficult loss. It took a great deal of courage to talk about your emotions from the heart.

Once again, I congratulate you on a job well done. Everyone really learned a lot and enjoyed your experimental!

You three did a great job! I couldn't come to your presentation, but your website shows how amazing your experimental was. You three have a lot of research which was well organized and placed on your website. Your trig section was interesting and clearly connected phases to trig. Your moon phases section was a perfect connection. When I first heard that you were doing phases, I instantly thought of the phases of the moon. That was a clear, direct connection, and you three explained it well. You had a lot of books that also connected well, especially The Giving Tree (it won't let me put that in italics). Your economy section was also interesting. I liked how you connected it to recovery and explained the phases of recovery. You had a lot of good information there. The rites of passage section was also interesting and a good connection. I had never thought of the ages for drinking and driving as phases before. You did a great job of connecting that and incorporating it in your topic. You three had so many interesting interviews, and so many topics. Your art section was also really interesting. You had so many works of art that connected well and were well explained. I liked your How-To section. Your experimental had a lot of research, and I wish I could have gone to the presentation. Your website is amazing!

Good job guys! I really enjoyed watching your experimental. The most interesting thing to me was how you related your topic to life in general. All three of you mentioned during your personal the phases and stages we go through in life whether it be mourning or camp. Your fashion show was very interesting. I could really see the different phases the fashion industry has gone through over the past generations. The way you presented your topic between in adults and kids reminded me of The Little Prince(underlined). It was also very interesting to see the different phases one must go through in the Jewish religion. You guys did a fantastic job and should be proud of yourselves!
