September 11, 2001

September 11th was a revolutionary day for the American people and people all around the world. That morning, the Al Qaeda terrorist organization hijacked planes and planned on crashing them into sites such as the Pentagon, White House, and the Twin Towers. Unfortunately, the Twin Towers attack was extremely successful and killed thousands. This day transofrmed the American way of life. President Bush sent troops out and this began the 10 year long hunt for Al Qaeda members and its leader. This was yet another huge change for those in America. Husbands, wives, mothers, and fathers were all sent to fight the war. On the night of May 1st 2011, America managed to rest easier. American troops had located and killed Osama Bin Laden in the Middle East. This was a huge change for the American people who felt a sense of pride and accomplishment having served justice to those who deserved it.
