Comparing the First and Last Phases of Life

Picture

Isn't it fascinating how we end up in a similar manner to the way we started off? It is easy to overlook the similarities between elders and babies; however, when you compare the two, you realize that they have a lot in common. For example, both babies and elders have trouble walking. The elder uses either a cane or wheelchair, while the baby is carried or put in a stroller. Both infants and elders need care and guidance. They need assistance being fed and taking medicine as well. They each have a small memory: the infant grows while the elder's slowly fades away. Infants have no teeth yet and elders begin to lose theirs. Many elders wear diapers just like the infants and they are both small in size compared to other points in their lives. The infant has yet to grow and the elder has started to shrink. Most interesting of all, they both get discounts at movie theaters and plays!
