This short film describes how change occurs not so easily, but with the help of great determination and will. Change isn't something that occurs so quickly either. We can take a look at how many times society has changed compared to the many, many years society has been around for. We see throughout history that people often neglected change, and would've rather stay with the norm. Who are the people who decide to change? Does this group only consist of the people with determination? Does it take disappointment and unhappiness to want to change?
"Change can only happen if people feel and think that they need change. It has to be conscious. People fall into patterns that feel right based on past experiences, especially early childhood patterns. Your youngest years define you. People get comfortable even with unhealthy patterns. Children don't really define their own younger years: their surroundings define them. Knowing your mother and father lead you to know yourself better and see your future more clearly. Change is very uncomfortable, even if it's good. People tend to stay in their comfort zone and remain the way it already is, even if it really sucks for them. Once you really begin changing, it gets less and less uncomfortable. People are resistant to change because it doesn't feel safe. You really can't change people. The only thing you can change is how you react towards people. Essentially, you can only change yourself and your reactions to your environment. But I do definitely believe you can change yourself."
